Hurco VM20Plus arrives 20 November 2023
As part of our constant drive to improve capacity, efficiency and accuracy, we've taken delivery of a brand new Hurco VM20Plus. The machine has a 1000mm travel in the X axis, 12k temperature controlled spindle with coolant through spindle and the latest Ultimax 5 control. It will give us more flexibility and much needed capacity due to the increasing skill level of our apprentices.CGP take on another apprentice 4 September 2023

After several months a deliberately which machine would be the best fit for CGP, today makes the arrival of our brand new Makino u6 H.E.A.T. wire eroder. The new machine offers faster cutter speeds than our previous wire eroder as well as better accuracy. We've taken the plunge and also decided to purchase PEPS wire eroding software from Visi as we believe it offers a great programming link between our CAD and the machineNew Hurco arrives along with an upgrade 29 April 2021
We've just taken delivery of another Hurco VMX42i. This is our 3rd VMX42i, what can we say, we love them! Investment is very important to keep us up to date and and the sharp end of things. The new machine is almost identical to the last VMX42i we had with the exception that it comes with coolant through spindle (CTS) added on to give us more flexibility and allows us to do more carbide deep hole drilling.New 3D CAM software investment 17 February 2021
With the constant need to adapt and improve processes, CGP have recently purchased 2 new seats of NCG CAM from NCG CAM solutions Cambridge. The new software is already giving us improvements in cycle times, part finish and programming times. NCG CAM also has the option for full 5 axis machining which we plan to add on soon.Ownership of CGP has changed hands 14 August 2019
On 21st of June 2019 CGP was sold to one of it's employees. Richard takes the helm with a continued commitment to produce great quality tooling for all of CGP's customers. Many of you will have no doubt dealt with Richard on a regular basis already, particularly regarding all technical aspects so hopefully the transition will be relatively seamless for you. 4th Axis CNC milling option. As a first step away from conventional 3 axis milling CGP have invested in a brand new fully programmable 4th axis unit that has been installed onto one of our high speed milling machines.
